About the job:

• Ensure adherence to grading standards during fruit packing

• Sampling and testing of in process and final product

• Collaborate within the Quality Control Team to conduct efficient and consistent box checks

• Verify box weights and label accuracy

• Maintaining accurate and complete records

As the summers are usually hot in Central Otago, it can be very refreshing to work in cold temperatures. You feel less exhausted compared to working in the sun and can still enjoy warm and sunny afternoons or evenings down at the lake.

When the season gets closer to its peak, we will run two shifts in the packhouse. You can choose to start working early in the morning (around 6am) and having the evening off or start later in the day and enjoy slow mornings.

About you:

• High attention to detail and strong prioritisation skills

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate others

• Knowledge of cherry grading standards is preferred as well as

• Experience in cherry fruit packing or quality control roles

• Proactive and enthusiastic team player

• Ability to work well under pressure

• A continuous improvement mindset – we like to push the status quo
