Join our packhouse team and handle the loading, unloading and movement of fruit bins and other products within the packhouse.

About the job:

• Safely load and unload fruit bins from trucks and trailers

• Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times

• Perform daily equipment checks and report any maintenance issues

• Inspect fruit bins to prevent damage

• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

• Organise and arrange fruit bins for storage or processing

• Work closely with your supervisor and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow

As the summers are usually hot in Central Otago, it can be very refreshing to work in cold temperatures. You feel less exhausted compared to working in the sun and can still enjoy warm and sunny afternoons or evenings down at the lake.

When the season gets closer to its peak, we will run two shifts in the packhouse. You can choose to start working early in the morning (around 6am) and having the evening off or start later in the day and enjoy slow mornings.

About you:

• Valid forklift licence

• Experience in operating a forklift is strongly preferred

• Be physically fit and able to adapt quickly to changing tasks

• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills

• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team

• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

• A continuous improvement mindset – we like to push the status quo
