Job Description - Parts & Inventory Coordinator: Fixed Term

LeaderBrand leads the way in vegetable production in New Zealand and has an extensive farm and vineyard operation in Gisborne. Based 10 minutes from the city centre, this role is crucial to maintaining the efficiency of our vehicles and machinery and contributing to overall productivity at our Gisborne farm. This role requires a high attention to detail, exceptional organisational and communication skills, an in-depth knowledge of agricultural machinery and implements, and financial proficiency.

Specific accountabilities for this role include the following:

 Parts Supply

• Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain for parts and accessories.
• Cost Management: Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement of parts.

Inventory Management

• Stock Optimisation: Implement strategies to optimise stock levels, reducing excess inventory while ensuring availability of critical parts.
• Inventory Software Management: Utilise inventory management software to track parts, manage reordering processes, and generate inventory reports.

Quality Control:

• Ensure all parts used in repairs meet quality standards and specifications.

Time keeping

• Manage own time efficiently, effectively while prioritising tasks.

Health & Safety

• Compliance to health and safety requirements.

•  Ensure all parts and materials comply with relevant industry regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including purchases, sales, and inventory adjustments

 Continuous Improvement

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of parts management or any relevant area of the business
• Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in parts management and incorporate best practices into the workshop's operations.
