SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Harvest/pick kiwifruit from the vines, placing the fruit into picking bags
• Discard rotting and over-ripened kiwifruit
• Transferring picked kiwifruit into bins from the picking bags
• Be vigilant when picking and placing kiwifruit into bags and bins to avoid damage
• Adhere to H&S and hygiene requirements
• Ensure a ‘quality pick’ following directions from experienced staff, supervisors and managers and meeting the picking standards set by the packhouse.
• Assist site with passing picking audits by being aware of and meeting picking standards at all times.
• General orchard work
